Nomad daily life | Day 179 of my 2023 Journal

Moving on from my sister's house, goodbye was painful. I said that already. Now I say it again. I want to be honest when sharing my travel journal, and I know our life looks beautiful, adventurous, and amazing - and it is - but the full picture includes the price tag. One is saying goodbye to loved ones knowing it will be a long time before the reunion. Too long time. With my sister, a plan to share some weeks in Israel in the wintertime is canceled, leaving a gap of almost a year before the reunion. And that is painful.
So I sit with the pain. I feel it. I feel the deep love and allow the pain to be. It is all okay. The root is love. And love is the meaning of everything. So, we are good. Secondly, I remind myself no plans are so set they can not be changed, hence our house rule of writing our plans with a pencil.
Moving on, we went to the Vet. Our Vet in Denmark, Thomas, is overwhelmingly good at what he is doing. It is fascinating to see him work with our dogs; I am baffled by the way he thinks and grateful to see the talent unfold. I simply love going there with my daughter and our dogs, as my daughter is all about dogs, and I learn so much from Thomas every time we see him. We got inspiration, fixed dog trauma, got good counseling to handle our traveling life with the dogs, and had some vaccines done.
Later on, we had the front window fixed after an evil stone and went to our friends' farm in Solrød.
What else? Storms aligners have arrived in the mail, and he is back to headaches and smoothies on his journey of getting the teeth fixed; we nurse him and love him and do our best to help.
We had the honor of interviewing the one and only Sandra Dodd for our podcast before dinner and felt uplifted and wiser, and happier after the conversation. Sign up for my newsletter to ensure you get the info when it airs. She is lovely to learn from.
The evening was one of the beautiful long Danish summer nights with wine and music and friends and sunset and, amazingly, not so many mosquitos.Â
