Almost Scotland | Day 216 of my 2023 Journal

Cecilie Conrad·Aug 5, 2023· 2 minutes

Okay, this walk was a surprise.

Very different landscape from the other days, again overwhelmingly beautiful and with a lot of water.

It has, to be fair, been raining a lot, so maybe we just met all the places when there was so much water. But it still comes as a surprise for me to meet water when I walk up and up and up. Where does it all come from?

We met a lady who explained the mountains were holding onto a lot of water, and we had to stay on the path. Otherwise, we would be in plants plus water up to our hips.

No problem! The path was fun, and the view was beautiful.

The only downside was realizing how not very strong I had become. Damn, it was hard to get up to the top!

Good thing we did it; now the challenge is to do something similar again. And again.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

There is not much more to say. Walking for several hours with my family and my friends in this beauty was, of course, a blessing.

Love and light
