Whenever there is a bridge, we cross it. Preferably walking. Barefoot.
Whenever we cross a bridge we breathe deep. Gratefulness and love. Whenever we cross a bridge we are reminded. Of what is important. About how amazing it all is.
So we make it a habit to find the beautiful bridges, and to cross them. With grateful
Hearts.
Very simple habits makes a great difference.

Nothing will be impossible for you
I am often met by the notion, the idea: I am lucky to have this kind of life.
Let us think about it. My life is amazing abundance and loads of happiness, it is friendships and love and magic, open doors and miracle meetings, people and inspiration and art and learning the most intriguing lessons.
Am I just crazy lucky?
I don’t think so.
I have made a choice to stay in the light. I have made a choice to walk with God, you may give His eternal energy whatever name you want. I have made a choice to tune my inner radio to receive the most important stuff from the universe, from life. I distinguish clearly between the Devine, which is also The Truth, which is also Reality, which is also The Light - and on the other hand that which is disturbed, narrow, clogged with fear or clouded by the limitations beliefs, restrictions. Sometimes I call it “the world”, sometimes “the shadows”. It is not where life is.
Reality is here. Reality is the beauty of the sunset, the love of our children and friends, the music, the open mindedness, the fresh air, the people we meet, the things we get to learn, the amazing powers of cosmos.
I choose to stay in what is real. Really real.
From this point of believing, of knowing, of being, comes everything else.
It is not luck. It is a choice. It is the universe answering. It is the truth.

#vegan, even #veganraw on the road does not have to be hard. Life is mostly hard if decide it is. #veganraworganic carfood is simple and beautiful. There is something about the birds. So much to learn from them. So much they have to say.
Today we travel. During a global pandemic, we travel. And wuau, the challenge!
There is so much going on around us at the worldly level, so much fear, so many restrictions, so much blur.
It is as if it is a bit harder to stay in the light, as if the basic vibe is low, as if the challenge is hard.
But maybe we just have to look at the birds. Remember to stay in the moment. In the light. In the trust.
And then all is back to good old normal magic 💚

No one said it would be easy. The camino. The path. The road through life. It is what it is. Complex. And complicated. Diverse. Ever changing. Beautiful. Hard. Unbelievable. Even simple sometimes.
No one said it would be easy.
Or maybe someone did. And they were wrong.
The thing is this.
If we walk with faith, faith in the big picture, faith in our mission, faith in the truth (even when we don’t know what it is, just faith it is there) - then we can walk through life and choose to take every next step with wisdom and gratefulness.
And it becomes simple to be happy. Simply happy.
If we don’t, we drown. Drown in worries and fear and complexity and more fear. We break down with stress, we loose sight of what is truly important, we can’t breathe in the end, we run so fast or get so stuck.
I see it all the time, and I personally have to learn it over and over: Do not worry, just become clear on your next step, and take it gratefully - then life becomes all it was supposed to be. And you become all you were supposed to be. And nothing else.

Someone recently told me, they were impressed by how we “get the most out of life”. It got me thinking: Do I really want to “get the most out of life”? I think not. I think I want to “create the meaningful life”, aka “make the right thing out of life”. And even as we live a Wild&Free kind of life, doing a LOT of things all the time, I actually do not want “the most”. I want what is best. What is right. What is true. I want peace, I want to be fully present, I want pauses, silence and slow. Our weekly Wednesday walks are exactly that, and we enjoy them to the fullest, they expand into our souls, into or time before and after, the set things right. #worldschooler #traveller #radicalworldschooler #nomad #digitalnomad #nomadlife
Silke is Reading Barden Beedles for us as We have tea and snacks half way through the Wednesday walk. My bus is kind of messy and I did not hang the laundry today. But here we are. Doing what is more important. #unschooling #nomad #nomadfamily #digitalnomad #busliving #radicalworldschooler #worldschooler
Do we live the dreamlife?
I am in my bus, my feet are up, I have coffee and time, and the sun is shining.
Next to the awesome bus is parked a dream car: A VW van with roof tent, seats for 7 sleeps 5, handmade backend kitchen, solar panels, and all.
We have the freedom and the means to go where we want to go; we earn enough to live the life we want, we do the education at home; no-one is attached full time anywhere.
This is awesome! This is exactly what we dreamt about 5 years ago when we started planning for it. To be able to go anywhere, be always together, have the economy to never worry about money, find great places in the world to experience with our children, and make friends everywhere.
Exactly this happened.
But a lot of other stuff also happened. Two and a half years into the nomad lifestyle, we sometimes feel frustrated. It is a complicated life. Nomad lifestyle is not vacation full time. As always, responsibility follows freedom. We still have to handle complex relations and make all of the decisions life throws at us.
After we started full time traveling, we had to handle the following major situations: My mother died, my father died, our son’s teeth needed massive treatment, COVID happened, the aftermath of my parents’ death was complicated, and we learned that ….. we actually do not really like to drive the bus – it is so super big and very old and heavy. We want to move fast, explore mountains and be more mobile than you are in a bus from ’73.
We have to change gears. Sometimes we talk about it as making a good plan. But actually, it is creating a new dream. We already have all we planned for; now we need to plan for something else. Something more. Something adjusted for all we learned. And that is a lot. So it is a big plan, a significant new perspective. I feel run over; I feel overwhelmed.
But I chose “overwhelmed” before “bored” any day, I will take run over before obedient, I will take change and uncertainty before safety and other people’s plans, and I will take my cute and chaotic little bus in Catalonia over Northern wither – with all that follows.
If we dream again, we will find ways again.
For those following both my personal page (under my name) and my family-project (world schooling nomads) I am sorry for the double posting. I do nit know how to fix it, so we are alle going to have to live with it. Both pages have unique content, so if you want to follow everything about our lifestyle and adventure, I recommend following both. But sometimes I share some thoughts that fit very well on both projects and will double post. Please forgive me.
There is always options. We are in a very restricted Spain, but we are happy under the sun. We do local adventure. We walk every Wednesday, somewhere new. Today we have a great and very steep walk to the top of a mountain. #worldschholing #worldschoolingfamily #worldschoolingnomads #covidtravel #nomadfamily #radicalworldschooler #digitalnomad #lifeismychurch #catalunia

The 2021 Challenge
We are back in the sun, in the bus, in the Mediterranean lifestyle. It is like all years: The year begins now, after celebrating the birthdays of our sons.
So, what’s up with this 2021 challenge, this new year we have on hand, this new vibration, all of the unwritten pages?
We do “themes of the year” in our family, not new year resolutions. This year the headline is Moving On!
“Moving on” has everything to do with the COVID-choked 2020. We have decided to let nothing stop us, not even this. There has been a crisis of some sort all of our life: First, it was the oil crisis and the war in Vietnam, later it was AIDS and the A-bomb, then it was the Millenium and Terror, and now it is the Pandemic. It stops when it stops inside our minds, it stops when we decide to live our life, deliberately and with love. It stops when we take responsibility and hold our life in our own hands.
There will be no more waiting, no more procrastinating, no more whining, no more hesitation. Not even when we are insecure, when we lean into stuff we don’t know. We need to walk into the unknown, we need to work with the painful corners of our past as well as the present, we need to go live “head-on” this year.
We will solve problems, invest resources, travel to new locations, make new friends, listen to music, renew what is worn and torn, open what is closed, learn what life has to teach us.
This new “head-on” energy makes us bump into inner walls and into each other, and lets out all of the skeletons from our past; we both have nightmares and moments of deep despair and frustration and even fear, but we always re-emerge at the surface when we trust in God, life, the process and turn our attention to the basics of gratitude: All of our “obstacles” are good ones, and they all come from our freedom fight: With freedom comes responsibility, and it is not always easy to handle all of the analysis, work, energy that comes along.
We DO want to handle it. We WILL handle it. In the end, we always end our day with grateful hearts.

Nomad Life in the cold North. We enjoy the beauty, and the warm houses. Get out the see something beautiful, something with horizon, breathing the fresh air from the ocean - always a pleasure. It is not by coincidence. We work and we focus to get these experiences on an almost daily basis as we know how important they are to us #radicalworldschooler

Celebrate
Celebrate life. Celebrate one more journey around the sun. Celebrate the sun. Celebrate the journey.
The first week of the year, as an extension of the New Year party, in the vibration of openness to the new year, we celebrate the birthdays of our sons, half of our children. We celebrate their entry to this life, their special vibe, their life missions, and their journey. We know we are all here for a reason, we know we are all stardust, all special. In our family, this week is their week. The first week of the year is the birthday week.
We start the year as we live. Present. On a journey. In nature. Together. Connecting. Learning.
And we celebrate. Slowly and with love. And with friends. We embrace life with all of its facets, all of its obstacles, all of its adventure, all of its journeys, all of its lessons.
And in particular, we celebrate these two boys. The Storm and the Fjord, the brotherhood, and the gift of life.

A new year is coming, a new vibration. I would say a new hope, but actually my hopes are the same:
Stay True, stay awake, keep learning, never leave the path of God, walk in silence, laughter, love, responsibility and joy, never ever give up, stay out of distractions, stick to core values, listen, smile and hug.
There is so much going on, yet the lesson is the same. Breathe in, breathe out - and stay on track, never forgetting what is truly important.
Personal freedom, love, beauty, art, culture, friendship, responsibility, adventure. And chocolate, of course.
The photo is from the beginning of this year. From the day after my father died. From Portugal, from an afternoon walk with husband and children. We can always chose our focus, we can always chose what vibration to lean into, how to act and react. And so I swear I will in the coming year: Keep moving in MY direction, staying on path.

I have been down lately. Emotional. How can it even be? Life is such a beautiful gift, I am overwhelmed by the awe of it all. Sometimes we get distracted. This new wave of lockdown is distracting my focus, pushing me out of balance.
So I have to adjust, I have to find my equilibrium. I believe we all have to bounce back, remembering what is important.
The craziness of the COVID response is crazy. But it is earthly, it is a distraction, it is non-essential. We all need to focus on the essential, on finding our hearts way, on appreciating what is truly important.
Like the colours of the sky in the morning. Like health. Like love. Like emotional, spiritual, intellectual growth. Like learning new skills of all sorts. Like opportunities. Like reaching out to the ones we love, like being grateful of what is. Always.
No matter the circumstances, we can meet life with gratitude, appreciation and love. We can give, enjoy, share, pray, sing, learn, exercise. With love. In love.

Forced development is one of the worst downsides of parenting as well as instructed childhood in institutions. Forced development is what happens when “succes” is measured against normality and / or curriculum.
The restrictions of being too old for life elements are so bad for a spontaneous life, for joy.
We can grow up and still be children. And if we are not, we loose so much of what is important.
